Veneers are shells of tooth-coloured material (which can be either porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material). They are “cemented” to the front surface of teeth to improve their cosmetic appearance.

Lumineers are type of veneers that have been made out of a specific type of porcelain named Cerinate . Cerinate is exceptionally strong and this property allows Lumineers veneers to be fabricated to extremely thin tolerances.
The thickness of a Lumineer ,,veneer can be as little as 0.2 to 0.3 millimeters (similar to the thickness of a contact lense).
